Restaurant and café for rent

A unique historical setting, new architecture and ambitious operators are the ingredients to satisfy curious mouths. The Carlsberg City District is located as a new city district on the areas that once housed the largest brewery in Danish history, and now it is on its way to becoming a food destination in Copenhagen that is out of the ordinary.

For many, Carlsberg is synonymous with a cold lager in the iconic dark green bottle. But the name and area are also associated with architecture, art, culture and pioneering inventions in science and beer production. The historic brewery site in the middle of Copenhagen features some of the most magnificent architecture, such as the Elefantporten ("Elephant Gate"), Kridttårnet ("The Chalk Tower") and Den Snoede Skorsten ("The Winding Chimney"), and it was also at Carlsberg that the method for the propagation of yeast was discovered, just as the pH scale was invented at the brewery's own laboratory.

The new city district is being built with respect for these very elements, and the different parts of the Carlsberg City District are based on four basic values: respect for production, interest in science, passion for art and openness to new cultures.

FROM COLD LAGERS TO CURATED CHEFS

The diverse culinary scene in Copenhagen’s new urban district attracts both locals and visitors seeking unique dining experiences. Carlsberg Byen is already home to some of the city’s most popular restaurants and serves as a hub for food lovers.
